It’s no secret that the Wales family is a rather sporty royal family. Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, are all about the sports, and we’ve seen them do so many athletic activities over the years. And now, it seems their kids are also loving the sporty life. Most recently, William even divulged what sporty activity he and Kate’s eldest child, Prince George, adores, and it’s quite unexpected.
During William’s solo visit to the Birtley Community Pool in Tyne and Wear, England on Oct 3, per to Hello! magazine, he revealed that George adores scuba diving.
“George loves scuba diving,” he said. “He’s 11 years old. We took him under thinking he would freak out. He absolutely loves it.”
What a daring hobby! Not only does this show his love for sports like his parents, but it shows he really did get the water sport-loving gene. We’ve seen both Kate and William swim, kayak, and more, but George’s grandparents, King Charles III and Princess Diana, were both pictured swimming and surfing. It seems everyone in this family really does have something to love about the ocean.
For those who don’t know, William and Kate had an on-again, off-again relationship until they got engaged in Oct 2010. Since their nuptials in April 2011, they have since welcomed three children named George, born in July 2013, Charlotte, born in May 2015, and Louis, born in April 2018.
In a previous podcast episode of Happy Mum, Happy Baby, hosted by Giovanna Fletcher, via Town and Country, Kate talked about how she incorporates her family traditions into her parenting.
